We all want to be the best we can achieve. Some strive for the stars while others find contentment in the depths. As long as your personal goals and aspirations are fulfilled, don't be a slave to the belief of others. Painting can transform ideas into realities. Maybe not everyone's reality but the artist gets to make the distinction. Being just a bit on the loony side can only make for better art.

Ideas come and go. Sometimes so fast, I only catch a fleeting glimpse. Catching and holding on to one long enough to transfer unto canvas is a rarity. Must be something in the water.

I'm finding that getting back into creative mode is as brain draining and exhaustive as Id forgotten it to be. Once a die hard "artist" I had to take a break to tend to life and care for my child as a fulltime single parent. Now 18 years have passed and the child is a terrific young man who is looking forward and tending to his own life without as much need as before. So I picked up a paint brush...........and trying to shake off the rust, re-found my long lost love. Art to me is the most soul wrenching expression I have to contribute. I want to create that piece that breaks my heart and refuses to leave my mind. The mechanics are not nearly
